Someplace Safe

Our mission is to reduce and prevent domestic violence and to improve the quality of life for victims of domestic violence in Trumbull County.

Someplace Safe is the exclusive provider of comprehensive services, including shelter and advocacy, for anyone experiencing or having experienced domestic violence in Trumbull County. We provide advocacy, education, supportive services, emergency 24-hour crisis intervention, and shelter to aid families.

Telephone & Online Chat Support Services: Domestic Violence Specialists are ready to answer your call 24/7 and can provide resources and referrals to those experiencing intimate partner violence or to those seeking information for a friend or loved one. Shelter and Resource Center: Someplace Safe provides a safe place for you and your children to stay while you create a plan with staff and learn about your options. The shelter provides a variety of services. There are Domestic Violence Specialists that are available to residents 24/7. We work with Trumbull County community services and offer program referrals when additional services are needed.

Legal Advocacy & Protection Orders: Someplace Safe provides legal advocacy and support services for survivors. Our Legal Advocate can help guide you in navigating the legal system and provide assistance with Domestic Violence Civil Protection Orders, Civil Anti-Stalking Orders, and Sexually Oriented Offense Protection Orders. WHO WE SERVE

Someplace Safe serves both men and women with or without children who are actively attempting to escape an abusive relationship. Advocate services are provided for Someplace Safe participants. Each individual and their children will work with an assigned advocate who will provide case management, employment support, healthy coping skills, parental support, and schooling/childcare support.

CURRENT NEEDS

We are always in need of the following donations:

  • Nonperishable food items and paper products
  • Toiletries and menstrual products 
  • Bath towels 
  • Twin and full-size comforters
  • Twin and full-size sheet sets
  • Pillows
  • Used cellphones

Donations can be dropped off at 1370 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44485.

Volunteers are also needed to assist with various projects, and monetary donations are always welcome to help with assisting victims and shelter operations. We also encourage others to help raise awareness about domestic violence in our community and/or request a presentation for your organization or group.
